Does it apply to women martyrs? That would be hilarious if the use that same logic for women, considering the status women are confined to in muslim societies. So a women would get 72 men to do with as she pleases, eh? I won't tell my wife, or she may convert.
And I'm sure uncle Stevie would make a fine candidate...if he were only muslim :-( I bet they don't cross breed in muslim heaven.

I think those Muslims are in for a big surprise
although, the Quran does say that they will be given virgins of the same age, so I guess some old Muslim will end up with your uncle - of course this all depends on whether your uncle is voluptuous, that is stipulated in the Quran as well

First of all, the word celibate does not mean "didn't have sex." It means unmarried.
Second, God bless your uncle for his dedication to Christ, the one and only son of God.
Third, I cannot accept that killing of innocent civilians as any part of what the creator would want of us. Thus, I believe that anyone either committing these actions or even NOT speaking out against such actions would be highly suspect as part of what God intended. I hold all those who claim to be Muslim guilty when they will not speak out against terrorist actions of this ilk.
Lastly, I suspect that the only possible 72 virgins waiting for Muslims who murder innocents might indeed be nuns, but then again, they may have weapons. I suspect those nuns would make eternity unpleasant for these so-called martyrs, people who knowingly flouted the righteousness of God's teachings for us on earth.
