Hi,
I don't think there is any one place or situation that gives me the greatest sense of peace/serenity as I have many wonderful and varied memories of contentment/feelings of peace. Walking in the countryside is my main way to recharge my emotional/spiritual batteries and when I feel close to God. I love being by the sea. When I lived beside the sea I would walk the children to the beach every day and just soak in the energy that surrounded us. And pray. There is such wonderful peace/serenity/love/contentment in the simple act of rocking a baby in my arms to sleep; the quiet moments breast-feeding my children (that was a long, long time ago). My dog is cuddled into me now and feeling her love, enjoying her companionship while I link up with my friends on YA and Multiply and feel the depth of their friendship and share feelings and philosophies gives me a great sense of calmness. For real peace and serenity, currently it is when I am walking in the ever-changing countryside and loving the peace and tranquility of my surroundings.

It comes from serving humanity by contributing positively to remedying the serious problem of this world. Meditation/prayer, mind-body exercises, eating healthy, not overindulging, and looking for good inspiration from all sources, can help one be in the proper spiritual state, to get the most out of, making a positive difference in the world. Doing this, will give you peace and serenity within yourself.

The greatest Serenity and Peace of mind come from spirituality, from a life well lived, from accomplishing what you set yourself to do in a joyous and timely manner, from having done your best at what you have to do, from going the extra mile, from making a difference in someone Else's life. From being patient, from being understanding, from being compassionate, from caring and always being ready to lend a helping hand. From going to bed at night with no regrets, form getting up and giving thanks for what you have, and enjoying all that you do.

I find peace in the fact that :
Everything is perfect.
Everything is as it is.
Love prevails, in this perfectness.
All is rightable in an instant.
That instant is but a breath away.
I know and understand the perfectness that is God.
All is love, and peace is here now.
It only needs to be realised within.
