That's bad, Deke, but even worse: I hate football, and live in Pittsburgh amongst all the idiotic, rabid Steelers fans. Woe is me :(

I know I'd feel safer going through parts of Atlanta when I'm visiting.

However, that probably won't happen, since forecasters can't predict what day murder rates will drop.

Just because they sue doesn't mean they will win. The ACLU has defended all sorts of people on all sorts of issues even neocons. Sometimes I agree with them and sometimes I don't. On this one I disagree with the ACLU. I wonder if we had an Indian shaman to dance around rattling a gord and shaking a feather or two it would have been better for them. The fact shows that global warming has hit the South East hard and in desparation people will do anything to get vitally needed water. Whether one believes in a supreme being or not the fact is it couldn't hurt to pray for rain. Nothing else was working. Interestingly, although it wasn't much, after the prayer sesson it did rain. Coincidence? Maybe and maybe not. Is it important? Nope. The fact that Georgia has started seeing water fall from the sky is what is important. What made it do that isn't nearly as important as the rain itself.

Check out any prison - there are far more Christians in them than all the other faiths and atheists combined!!!!

Most serial killers seem to think they were following god's orders!!!!

Public prayer meetings held by politicians - perish the thought. How long before they start praying for a plague on their opponents house?

Keep religion out of politics. Christians are already trying undemocratically to force their religion on the general population!!!

Running out of water is a little more serious than the relatively low murder rate.

Someone suggested here the other day to hold a public prayer for a UGA football victory over Kentucky this Saturday.

They were dead serious.

I believe in hell. I live there. I love football, but come on...

Why don't you ask him that? Maybe because murders are caused by people who choose to murder? And the rain is more controlled by God? I don't know his motives

You will see the day that every governor is praying on the steps of his capitol. The earth is groaning because of sin.
