They both get her, but neither get her, as they all ascend to the magic place with the Lord, who is with his son, who is actually himself in the trinity, but yet he serves at the right hand of the Lord his father, who is himself.

I imagine a lot of people would say that marriage is an earthly thing, as heaven is one big happy family. Mormons figure whichever guy the church considers her husband will be her husband in heaven. Hence remarriage can be awkward for Mormons.

Do we have husbands in heaven? I'm not sure about that. I suppose I imagine a totally egalitarian society where people are all joined, no one being more important than anyone else.

Can we assume that there will be no lawyers in heaven to handle such claims?
If that's the case, it might not be such a bad place! Part of being an atheist has lead me to question why god created things such as ticks, fleas and divorce lawyers.

There will be no wife/husband thing going on in heaven...that is just petty earth stuff....heaven is a completely different realm.

LOL, but seriously, I don't think the concept of marriage will be relevant in heaven...in heaven we'll all be capable of perfect love...the love that realizes that when someone gives that love to one person it doesn't mean they have less to give to another.
