I was always afraid of being in a dark closet with a Catholic priest.

If one is dishonest, one is not making a good confession, so it would be a total waste of time.
I'm too busy confessing my real sins to be bothered coming up with falsehoods.

making stuff up during confession will make a Catholic's going to confession pointless because he/she will be guilty of another sin to confess, which is lying. anyway, I don't do that.

Confessions based on rituals doesnt make you closer to GOD... but that which is made from the heart, with a decision not to sin anymore - That can be done BY THE GRACE OF GOD!!

lol No. I never had to do that.
I did keep some stuff under wraps when I was a kid, though, like masturbating, and just filed it under the catch-all "I am sorry for these and all sins I have committed this week."

I'm not actually Catholic, but I always envied the Catholics for their rite of confession. I always wanted to go to the confessional and curl the priest's hair with tales of my evil deeds. And I wouldn't have to confabulate either! :)

I thank God that I don't have to go to some sinful man with all my sins.
I go directly to God.
Catholicism teaches a false gospel of works that leads to eternal hell (Galatians 1).
