As everyone has already pointed, in Windows (XP, etc.) file folders cannot contain the characters \ / : * ? " < > |

You can create a folder labeled " c " but not "c:"

"c:" is your root drive.

If you have a UDF writer, you can set up your CD as if it were a re-writable drive, but the drive letter would be whatever letter your CDRW (or DVDRW) drive is.

What is it that you're trying to do, anyway?

File > Create Folder > C: > Enter
You just naming a Folder C: from what I understand.
You can also do a save-as, but then it just name the "File" not folder C:

C is a drive. You can't make a CD as C, other wise the computer will read all your program files and such as the CD, it being C, instead of C drive

Well your main harddrive is C: so you couldn't do that.
You MIGHT be able to do it on a mac, but im not sure.
