I worked in the medical field and you would be amazed at how some people can just come back ,like just waking up from a nap. But when they go to a nursing home it's really nothing more can be done for them and as much as that person is loved and the family can not bear to be without them it is their time to go.Some people just give up and pass on .But if she has always been a fighter and has a very strong will,she could live for years.In the mean time using up all her resources and making the family members feel that pang of motherly guilt.It's a very hard decision to make ,but I had to make it for my father and I will always feel I did the right thing.It's not the quantity of life it is the quality of life.Would she have liked to live this way?
