Of course. That's why it's obviously not true. What kind of being of infinite love and mercy would create something out of nothing and put it immediately to the test to see if it's worth of him? That's cruel, not loving.

God does not DEMAND worship. He's not "needy".....we are. Is your lover "needy" when he/she shows you how much he/she loves you?
This is what God does, for everyone of us:
1. Gave us life, and keeps our hearts beating every second of every day.
2. Keeps air "happening" so our lungs can breath.
3. Keeps the sun where it is just the right distance away from earth to keep from scortching us alive or freezing us to death.
4. Keeps the process of evaporation and rain happening to keep the earth from "drying up and blowing away".
5. Made plants able to turn sunlight, moisture, and fertilizer in the soil into eidible material so we can enjoy fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts.
6. Made animals who reproduce on their own so we have an abundant supply of meat if we choose to kill and eat.
7. Made us with brains so incredible that they cannot be duplicated so that we can reason out, decide, choose, and follow through.
8. Made us capable of emotion so we can see what God has done, enjoy what God has done, be thankful for what God has done......and even love him back.
You know what the "really sick concept" is? That after all God has done for us, we can even conceive of a statement like the one you've just made.....for that's what it is. Not a question, just a statement from an angry, bitter.....perhaps misinformed....person. There's no "unwanted kittens" in God's world. He loves every one, and if any "kitten" ends up in a "bonfire", it won't be because God put him/her there. It will be because the "kitten", knowing better, wouldn't heed the warning to come away from the "bonfire". God never forces even a "kitten" to do what it doesn't want to do. If it wants to stay in the "bonfire", God won't force it to leave. But even stubbornly staying in the "bonfire", it is not "unwanted". God wants every one of his "kittens" with him.....and he weeps over the "kittens" who don't want him!

The most preposterous notion that H. Sapiens has ever dreamed up is that the Lord God of Creation, Shaper and Ruler of all the Universes, wants the saccharine adoration of His creatures, can be swayed by their prayers, and becomes petulant if He does not receive this flattery. Yet this absurd fantasy, without a shred of evidence to bolster it, pays all the expenses of the oldest, largest, and least productive industry in all of history.

That's why it's not accurate. If there is a God, it wouldn't care about an animals tacit approval. That is a small-minded way to think. When you build a sandcastle, do you check on each microbes happiness throughout each grain of sand?

Oh man, you are just asking for it, aren't you!
It is a sick concept, but if you realize that humans invented the whole "supreme being" idea, then it follows that they also invented the way in which "he" demands to be worshipped.

actually, youre given the choice to worship, ignore him, or worship someone else. so "demand" is a little strong. the idea of being tossed into fire is more or less a human concept to get you to worship more.the basic concept is to live as best you can, acknowledge your creator and hope for the best.
remember, god word is interpreted by man. and if you look around, man is one sick dude, not god. he just gave us the choice and left us run..

God does not demand it he asks for it certainly that is not to much considering that he DIED for your sins and rose from the dead so you could go to heaven? maybe look deeper into Scripture before asking questions that could easily be answered in one Bible verse. like John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whoever belives in him shall not perish but have eternal life"
