Don't worry, everyone goes trough less social times in their lives. (Mine's right now - I go to school, am at school, go to dance trainings, do homework, go home and go to sleep. Social? No, not really... ^_^ ) It'll pass unless you cling to it. Your friends are your friends for a reason and you have a right to want to be with them without being called clingy.

Your just bored right now. Go and look for something to do. Start a hobby or craft and meet people of your age. People always come and go in our lives, some remain but most of us have something to pursue. We have to treasure the people around us, especially the older ones, because by conversing with them we learn the ropes of how to live our life. I know that they don't lead a perfect lives but my God! they have a lot of interesting stories to tell. That, my dear, if you have the ear. Go and make the relatives happy. Listen....you have nothing to lose except time which will turn into gold by treasuring your moments with them. Good Luck and be happy!

I don't think anybody likes going to family get togethers. Seeing your age difference I understand how you feel, but try this one time. Instead of sitting there thinking about how miserable you are, try getting into it. Join in in the conversations, smile, give an effort to have a good time, just this once and see if you can then deal with it better. It will at least make the time go by quicker.

Apart from studies, one has to maintain a social life also.Good relations with people of your age and seniors prove as an asset when things may go bad.It is not always easy to make friends. It is an art that one has to develop with efforts. For a person not socializing, rumors soon spread that such person is too proudy or that such person think too much of herself. So, no matter what, you should spare time to mingle with friends and relatives.

If you are not happy with the way you are then it's up to you to do something to change it. If you are happy with the way you are don't worry about it
