I really don't know if there is anything he can do but if he wants to be a part of the childs life take the partner get a dna test and if all else fails take them to court the child shouldn't have to go with out the fathers name especially when the father wants to stand up and be a man!

I'd be asking why his 'partner'doesn't want ur son's name on the birth certificate?!!!!!!! That sounds very weird as the only thing i can think of is if he's not the father.........I hope i'm wrong..........

Yes of course there is. if he is the father he has rights. Tell him to go to a solicitor. Mothers don't have all the rights, fathers do as well, especially fathers who want to be involved in their kids lives. And why on earth would the mother not want him on there. Is the child your sons?

Yes he can. He can take her to court, to get a paternity test and get his name put on the birth certificate. If she would want child support from him, she wouldn't be able to get if if his name was not on the certificate.

If teh baby hasn't been born yet he should go to the hospital and sign the paperwork once the baby is here. If the baby is already here he can petition her in court to get his name on the b/c.

Either parent can inform the registrar of births in the UK.
Tell him to get in quick before the mother doe's.
Once he has named himself as father..if she wants to have his name removed after,it will be down to her to prove he is'nt the father in order to have the birth cert changed.
