several times over the past few months i have been dreaming that i was going about my normal life, doing normal things, except life was so incredibly, PERFECTLY beautiful and that i was in a state of complete and utter euphoria.

last night, i was dreaming that i was going about my mundane, normal life. then at some point the world become nothing but bright white light with some focal point in the sky which seemed like a gold star. at this point, i was in a state of euphoria that just seemed unreal, too intense to describe.

i was certain i had reached the ultimate level of happiness achievable by humans. and when i woke up the euphoria was still there.

can anyone explain why i might be getting these sorts of dreams?

Apparently these type of dreams are much more common for men than they are for women.

Definitely a questing after a high lever of consciousness, a more spiritual life or more in tune with the world.

I've gone through periods where I have experienced this sort of thing as well. I view them as teachings about the way I should live my ordinary life--although the vicissitudes of ordinary life naturally clutter up bliss states and clear awareness. That is the nature of being in the body--so these types of experiences come and go and should not be "grasped" or "regretted" when they do pass. You need to apply the "meaning" of them rather than hoard the experience of them. If you want to get very mystified about it, you could say that you are experiencing beneficient Kundalini effects--the awakening of latent and essential spiritual energy within yourself. These effects can either enlighten and empower you or limit you, depending on how deftly you deal with them.

dreams are beutiful if they give you the sense of blissfulness that freedom gives you, but they are just dreams. we should take them as a time-break and enjoy as much as we enjoy the nice movie. however, we dont believe that we are IN the movie. after the time-break, go back to reality. stick to reality. true freedom is when reality becomes the most beautiful and blissful experiance, then there is no need to escape anywhere anymore, not even to our dreams. we have it all and we have it here.
