he may be doing this because his sister is doing it. It's what she's doing so he wants to do it.
Or he could be very visual based. He may learn through vision.
Keep an eye on him, maybe he's a baby genius. lol

Yes - my daughter was hooked on tv at about the age of four months! Not that we let her watch it that often, but - I think the movements, the sounds, and the bright colors attract their attention. What is really amazing is once they start reacting to things that happen on screen, that you wouldn't think such a young child would "get". Just be careful with the tv time ... they say kids aren't supposed to get too much of it. But I'm sure you already know that. :)

DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN. IF YOUR CHILD AT THAT AGE IS WATCHING THAT AMOUNT OF TV, THE FUTURE IS NOT GOOD,
try and prevent them from watching tv as it will result in them not understanding the reality of life and the relationships they have in it.
as a teenager i watch far too many films and tv shows,
because of this i have not been able to last in any relationship as i pick on one fault and amplify it in my mind until it is the only thing that i think about. i expect the people i meet to be perfect, funny and clever like they are in the tv shows, but in real life it is not always like that.
if you do not stop you children will have massive struggles in their later life, you will be doing them a life favor by offering them alternative options.

no there is nothing wrong with letting your kids watch tv but i would only let them watch 1/2 hour at a time.
this is what we do at our house with the nephews who are 6,2,1.
we let them watch cartoons after breakfast they like blues clues. but as soon as blue is over they have to play in their rooms for an hour then they get another half hour of tv and then they have to go play. we do this all day.
