I can't remember if Revolution is safe for lactating mums. But Frontline is - get some of that.

Flea treating the mother will not treat the kittens as well. You need to treat the kittens themselves - get the spray version of Frontline from your vet, because this can be used on puppies and kittens from 2 days of age.

People on here are probably going to tell you to bath the kittens in dish soap or something. Don't.

I had the same problem, my female cat had kittens, and some how also got fleas! She is an indoor cat. Anyways, to answer the question, I had asked her vet and was told to get a fine-toothed comb and combed the kittens and her with it. Then I dipped the comb in rubbing alcohol if there were any fleas on it. I was also told that I should NOT use ANY products on my cat and her kittens until the kittens were at LEAST 6 weeks old. But I am not a vet so you should talk with them to get the best advice!

Im pretty sure youre not supposed to use revolution or frontline on the mother if the kittens are that young, unless you can keep the kittens away from her until it is no longer harmful to them. Flea and tick meds. cannot be used on kittens younger than 8 weeks old. Ask your vet for a solution to your flea problem.

do not use any flea treatment on the mother cat with her babies being that young it may cause health problems or death. you need to go to the pet store and ask for a all natural pesticide free spray that is safe t use around infant kittens the one i use is de-flea and it is wonderful. it is specifically designed for safe use on infant animals. as for the mother cat use the spray as well as frequent baths to get rid of the fleas and do not use flea shampoos either.
