Sorry, totally forgot the question "Do you think its Voodoo that my dog eats poopoo, what would you do"?

Thanks for the input people. I thought I had a bad case of recurring questions syndrome.

I will leave the voting for the best answer to the masses.

You can add:
What breed of dog is on the Cesar dog food commercial?
What happened to the white dog poop from the '70's/'80's?
How do I convince my parents to buy me a dog?
Why does my puppy eat his own poop?
to that list.

You must research your breed of dog before purchase not after but either way it's good to get advice. However you must be aware that YOU are to do the research. There are many sites and books on every breed alive so it's not too hard. I like Yahoo as people who have the same breed you want or have are here. They can fill you in on all the stuff the breeders and books don't tell. It's also good to speak to people who have the same breed as it makes you feel good ( for some reason ). Anyway - I agree with you in part. Any advice about medication etc. is just stupid to ask on this site. A vet and a vet only should be consulted.

Actually this is already available to anyone who asks a question here. when you type your question related topics pop up for you to consider. Unfortunately most people think their situation is unique and ask the same question over and over again. I would prefer if YA just didn't allow a repeated question to be posted then it would force the person to actually read the same information that they are looking for. It sure would cut down on those types of questions.

ADD: I have to agree with JR too. There are way too many nonsense question being asked here on an hourly basis too.

I think that's a good idea. Maybe you should add this: "I can't breed my dogs, HELP!!". I wonder without all these questions, what will be left in the dog section.
BTW, I like the question "My dogs head fell off, what do I do?" LOL.

Sounds like a GREAT idea.

I am so sick of seeing the same stupid questions all the time that I can barely give a civil answer.

This site is fast becoming a joke. Its really sad considering I think there are people here that really do have experience they could share. Unfortunately we get fed up and go do other things and may miss important questions we could all benefit from.

Some people haven't got a clue, but the best way to help the dogs is just keep on answering the stupid question with common sense.

I agree full-heartedly
I get so bored of answering the same questions every five minutes! and its always the easy question that they could look up on a quick google search or the question that they should be seeing a vet about
that's why I don't come to Y!A as often as I used to...I'm thinking of abandoning my account as it used to be relaxing but now it's just frustrating to type the same things all the time!

I'd love to see a "common questions" section myself, and I've suggested it in the past. However, I doubt anyone would use it. You can already search for questions and plenty of people ask questions that can be answered easily by using a regular search engine. If they're too lazy to use either of those outlets, they probably don't care about previous questions- they want answers to their own question. It's very frustrating!

Well, since this board is for people who supposedly love dogs, and the Yahoo minimum age is 13, I feel none of the above should ever be asked.

I believe we should. I think that'd make things a lot easier on here. Don't forget to add the, "What's the best breed of dog?" question. I've seen that one a lot lately.
