Sarah,
I am a Christian but I do NOT believe the Holiday is a Christian Holiday. It was originally a Pagan Holiday. That should not matter. My family and I always celebrate it as a tradition. I try to be a peacemaker year round. I am always smiling and either whistling or singing in the hopes of sharing my love and caring for others. I am always the one who passes out the gifts to others at the homes we go to for Christmas. I have played Santa at a number of different homes and parties and always enjoy the young children's faces when they open their gifts. I assist the elderly and sing at a nursing facility every month. It is important to visit those facilities even though you may not know anyone there they are always receptive and needing company to come in. The holidays are not always good for everyone. Some people become very depressed on the holidays and need extra attention. That is where we must come in to help. Have a great holiday!
Thanks,
Eds

one can always make anyone happy in any season just by:
1.- listening
2.- understanding
3.- acknowledging that you heard and understood (you do not need to agree. Just acknowledge that you heard...)
If you want to add something for Christmas, after you have done the above, make one of this persons' dreams come true, eve if it is only baking ginger cookies for him/her, if this is what he/she dreams about! Ahhh... and do not forget a smile, a hug and/or a kiss...
