Ok,why the shouting?Feeling strict today?

I used to be a christian,so I am understanding and sympathetic to the viewpoint, but my learning curve throughout life has taught me and shown me the logical impossibility of there actually being any god at all.

Generally christians are well meaning, except for the odd one or two like the one who e-mailed me this morning calling me satan and rebuking me in the name of JESES.

I think Jesus the Christ is the living son of God. I think he loves you so much he suffered and died on a cross so that you and I can be free from the debt of sin that all are guilty of. I think that there are some bad Christians, as well as some dishonest Christians, but I think in the end the Lord will deal with them. With that said, many like to point out the 5 or 6 who have gone astray, Haggard, Baker, Swaggered, Warren, what they fail to mention is the over 545,000 church ministers in the US alone who day in and day out, sit beside the bed of a sick person, who comfort family who have lost loved ones, who give without thought for what is right. They don't see the countless millions who give their time, their money to make this world better. So be it, most people don't know what they have until it is gone.

I don't think much about or of Christians, actually. As long as they practice their faith without trying to "convert" me I'm just fine with them.

Jesus Christ? Is there historical evidence that he really existed? Even if there is, why did it take more than 40 years after he died before someone decided to write about his life and times? Threre were no eyewitnesses who wrote anything down to corroborate the miracles that Jesus allegedly performed.

As I said, if Jesus is a historical figure, he was just another man, perhaps a bit more special than most during his time, but still, just a man and not a god.

Alrighty...

What do I think of Christians? I can't understand why otherwise intelligent people would believe in something that has no evidence to support it. Christians baffle me.

What do I think of Jesus? He existed, he was human, he was an activist. He saw that the Roman occupation of his homeland was wrong, and spoke out against it. Other people, possibly later, transformed this populist figure into a religious figure and built a religion around his teachings.

Hope this answers your questions :)

Christians committed a sin by saying Jesus was the son of god.........as a man he was greater by far as a man he did things most people would not he changed the world in his own lifetime.....if he existed he was amazing not for the miracles most can be explained if you try some were exaggerated and some just plain made up but his life his story meant more when i just thought him a man of strenght and wisdom.....as a son of a god his deeds and accomplishments are beyond us....it tells us we as mortals had to be saved because we are incapable of doing it ourselves.....and most christens are some what fanatical dooms dayers in my opinion....and all the others are just normal people who cringe right along with us as we watch the silly ones do stupid stuff...lol

often uneducated in the matter: many have not even read the bible thoroughly. well most widely uneducated in other religious concepts, and widely judgmental towards them. some percent, especially of particular sects, are clearly fanatical and push their doctrine aggressively. clergy mostly is corrupt. except for the top level clergy preaching is often logically invalid. often encourage ignorance in adepts, especially particular sects. cling towards, desire and suffering, except very very few who actually put efforts into studying the bible and oneselves.

overall i find christianity a nice doctrine, though in most cases twisted by human laziness. also complexity of the doctrine and lack of texts consistency make the concept a great field for interpretations, speculations and misunderstanding.

I do believe in God and Jesus but I am a Catholic not a Christian. Yeah, some people might think that I'm crazy for believing in something that I've never seen or don't really have any solid proof to believe that it exists. But I do. And that's called a leap of faith. I believe that there is something out there much bigger than us and He is God. Better to belive in something than not all, right?

There are many man made religions and Christianity is one of them. Why? Because the word Christianity itself was not propagated by Jesus. There was no Christianity during the time of Jesus, no Church , no cross nothing. It was invented by St Paul , the man who was the sworn enemy of Jesus when Jesus was on he surface of the earth. Jesus never claimed to be God, nor he said "call yourself Christians"

Then which religion did Jesus follow and practice?

Islam. Ofcourse, he worshipped Allah. The evidence is still found in the Bible, for example:

“ellai ellai lema sabachtini ?”

Which means: My ella my ella why did you forsake me?

Does “ella ella” sound like God God or jehova jehova or Allah Allah?

He said "Blessed are the peace makers”

Who are the peace makers? Ofcourse Muslims, because Islam is derived form the root word salam which means Peace, this making or spreading of peace is done by only Muslims when they say: assalamu alaikum which means Peace be upon you.

Is Jesus god? this is the most hurting question posed to any Christian because no where, in any version of Bible, in any age will you find that Jesus declares his godship; nor does he invite any of his disciples to worship him. Nowhere in any Bible.

a) And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is GIVEN unto me in heaven and In earth MATTHEW 28: 18

(b) 'I can of mine own self DO NOTHING: as I hear, I judge . . . JOHN 5:30

(c) " . . . I by the FINGER OF GOD cast out devils . .

(d) "And Jesus lifted up his eyes (towards heaven) and said, Father, I thank thee that THOU HAST HEARD ME. "And I know that THOU HEAREST ME ALWAYS: but because of the people which stand by I said my supplication aloud that THEY MAY BELIEVE that thou hast sent me. "And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, lazarus, come forth "And he that was dead came forth . . .JOHN 11 :41-43

JESUS (PBUH) AS A WEEPING "GOD'?

(e) Jesus WEPT. JOHN I 1:3 5 Remember that this is the shortest sentence in the Bible! (Only two words)

The god who wept

The god who is circumcised

The god who himself sinned (Mark chapter 1, verse 13)

The god who has to sacrifice his own life to save his creation

The god who was born like a human

The god who is chased by his own creations to be killed!!

Look at the qualities of god mentioned in Bible

(a) A hissing God (?) ISAIAH 5:26, 7: 18, ZECHARIA 10:8

(b) A "roaring" God (?) ISAIAH 42:13, JEREMIAH 25:30

(c) A "barber" God (?) ISAIAH 7:20

(d) A "penitent" God (?) JEREMIAH 15:6, GENESIS 6:6

(e) A God "riding" a cherub (?) 2 SAMUEL 22:11

(f) A God murders 50,070 for looking into a box (?) SAMUEL 6:19

Jesus Christ - the resurrected Son of God, Lord and Savior

Christians - flawed, imperfect, sinful, hypocritical, pious, holier-than-thou human beings; some of whom are saved by their faith and His grace - others of whom are in for quite a surprise on Judgment Day!
