I believe she invented the 'cartwheel'. It was originally referred to as the "Catherine Wheel". (I mean the gymnastic maneuver that small girls do in the front yard with their friends). I could be wrong about this, but I'm 95% sure I read that as a child.

I believe she is the patron saint of Italy. She became friends with the pope at the time. He became aware of her through letters they wrote to each other. Her head & thumb are in Sena, her body is in Rome & I think her foot is in Venice.
