if yes, did it work out?

I haven't personally , but a few years ago I worked at a place where office affairs were very common. There were several people, most of whom were married, who were known to be having affairs with colleagues. Usually the affairs would come to an end, and then months later they'd be at it with someone else. It was a bit of a merry go round!

My point is, EVERYONE knew what was going on - who these people were, who they were sleeping with. It undoubtedly got to senior management. Gossip spreads like wildfire at work, and you will be thought of as a lesser person if you start using your workplace as a place to have a bit on the side.

It isn't worth it - do not involved - you could lose your partner and your job. Even if the consequences are not that drastic, you can still lose credibility and respect with your colleagues.

never had an office affair but i know two people I used to work with who did. they were together 5 years... then the guy found out that the girl was cheating on him (probably cuz her parents were telling her to try dating this other guy they like better).

The guy (at the office) resigned. The girl got married to the other guy within the year but after a while, we found out that she broke up with her husband and is back with her ex-bf... In fact, they both have a kid together.

Yes I have, and no, it hardly ever works out. It's usually just lust, and can lead eventually to trouble. If you two start fighting, you don't want that to go on where you work. There is an old saying relating to this which I think is true,"Never cut your meat where you make your bread". I know it's corny, but it's actually good advice. But then again, this is only if you're hoping for a relationship. If it's just sex, and the understanding is that it's basically a "friends with benefits" type of thing, then go for it.....you have nothing to lose. Just don't get your heart involved. Best of luck to you.

Office affairs generally turn out bad. Once the two split it causes an uncomfortable work environment. If it works there are issues of jealousy among other employees.
