Hey. There is a guy who is friends with my best friend. Well my best friend brang him over two days ago and i met him for the first time and she said that he likes me. Its kind of complicated because i don't feel the same about him, and i already like somebody else. I told my best friend that i liked him more then a friend when i really don't because i didn't want to hurt his feelings. I feel really bad about this, i just didn't want him to get hurt but now he knows that i don't feel the same because my best friend told him. I don't think he gets the message because he keeps on texting me asking if i would go out with him. Was i wrong to not tell him the truth straight away? i mean he is a nice guy i just want to be friends with him but nothing more than that. Thanks :)

lots of guys have told me that they would rather hear the brutal truth than to be lead on just to later find out that the girl didnt really like them. I think tellin a guy you dont like him might hurt his feelings...but telling a guy you like him ..out of pity and toying with his emotions is worse. Of course he's gonna keep asking you out, you're confusing him, just tell him straight up "you're a kool guy and i want to be friends with you but i really dont see you as anything more than that and im sorry i made you think that before but i didnt want to hurt your feelings because you're so nice"

Of course you were wrong for not telling the truth first. A nice guy just needs to be told one time that you are interested and they fall in love. I know because I am a nice guy. So at first he will get annoying but eventually (if he really is a nice guy) respect your decision for you two to just be friends. Good luck!!!!

If you just want to be friends--BE FRIENDS--if the guy does not get the message--well tell him once and then if he continues to be an assh--e--explain that you do not want any further contact with him. You control what goes on in your life--and who ever enters your life---get a grip and take control. This sounds like kiddy crap--how old are you?? learn to stand up for yourself and tell people to mind their own business. And stop thinking guys are so fragile that they get hurt--you are only kids--how much hurt can YOU do?? Move it along sister---you have a lot to learn !!

Honey ... the guy WANTS u .. u like another guy whom u r not sure if he even likes u or not .. i'd say give him a chance and go out with him .. do u think it's easy to ask someone out ? and he keeps asking u so at least he deserves a chance

Well say to him sincerely that:"LOOK YOUR A NICE GUY AND ALL BUT I DONT REALLY FEEL THE SAME WAY YOU DO TO ME. SO LETS JUST BE FIRENDS". that way he may b a little heart broken for a while. But after days and so hell just except it and be ur firend. so do it know b4 u fake say yes to be his gf

strange u don't love him but then also u r saying yes to him this is wrong u would'nt have said yes to him
and now if u will say no to him this will break all his feelings!
now u stay with him 4 sometime & then say that u can't workout with him, this will not break his heart that much!!!!

well you wasnt exactly being wrong i just think you should let him know like "hay i like you but as a friend i think we could be a friend towards each other'' oh yeah let him know no hard feelings though i also think you should let him know yourself:)
