u know,, long time ago,, they used to be black... but there's a psychological study that students cud not absorb the data in the board cuz it has no "light"... that wil enlighten their minds... they couldnt use super bright colors cuz it may hurt our eyes..,, so they chose green so it wud hav enjoyment for the students,,, not like black, wherein students become drowsy of its color... get it???

After few days, blackboard begins giving glare at particular factors and reduce back backbenchers have a mission to make out the failings written using chalk. Greenboards never educate this mission.

I'm not really actually sure why it's called a blackboard but they used it as a blackboard but i do not know at all why it is green

Maybe, because they feel it was a better color on the eyes, then Black. Go figure.
