They just can't make up their minds. You think if they had known that before they invented the evolution theory, they would have said we are related to pigs than apes? And I watch a scientist who said that our genes are related to rats thats why they are using it for lab test's. Oh well...

Chimps are too small for their Organs to be of use to us. Pigs on the other hand are just about right. They also share a lot of DNA with Humans.
Edit: JP makes a very good point as well. Ever notice that even amongst Humans there are rejection issues. We know that we are related to other Humans genetically right? No one will argue that.

Because a chimpanzee's heart is not strong enough to power a human body.
The same thing goes for lungs, et cetera. Chimpanzees' organs are just too small.
Oddly though, the smaller pig has larger, and more identical organs. Weird. :P

organ rejection due to immune response is an issue even when human organs are transplanted. chimp organs would be no better than pig organs from this perspective.

I think this would work better in the biology section. But then again, why do they use them as most religions have the pig as a dirty animal that we should not even eat let alone use for organs?

All species, everywhere, are related to some extent or another.
It isn't so much that they're particularly compatible with our systems, it's that pig tissues are surprisingly hypoallergenic compared to our potential reactions to other species (such as our fellow primates).
It's not a matter of compatibility, it's a matter of non-rejection.
Your question shows some thought -- I congratulate you on that. Next time though, follow up with some research and explain what you learned and what you're still needing information on.

It's a size issue. Pig organs are similar in size to human ones. And we are genetically similar (humans and pigs are both mammals).
Also, pig organs are more readily available - and pigs aren't an endangered species.

Pigs are also VERY close to humans in terms of DNA and, as has just been said, the body size is closer and, thus, the organs are the correct size - or close enough.

mainly its size. but also its due to that they work in a similar fashoin to ours.
besides, they are not on pig organs forever, it is a temporary measure until the needed organ from a human comes in.

i think that the pigs organs would best suit us, and beside pigs are used for other things, can you imagine the hoohaa if we started killing chimps for hearts?????
