My time in the whale was shorter.
Anyone else had a similar experience?

Jonah was terrified that God would be gracious to Nineveh, which was a terribly evil culture. Jonah knew that he obeyed God and preached to the people who lived in Nineveh, and if they repented of their sin... God would indeed forgive. Jonah didn't think they deserved God's grace even if they were repentant, because of horrendous past sin.

That is why God sent the great fish to swallow Jonah. God preserved Jonah's life and Jonah actually repented of his own rebellion while he was in the belly of the whale.

Now, about your experience... did you repent of your sin and tell God you would obey His plan for your life? That is the main point of the life happening of Jonah.

The whale experience was an insignificant part of the whole.
