Existing christianity is much different from the christianity before council of nicea in 325 AD. Direct desciple of Jesus never believed that Jesus was begotten son of God, neither they believed that Jesus died for the sins of others.

He didn't, what he did do is introduce Christianity into the Roman Culture. He is the first general who used the Christian symbol the Chi-Rho (it's Greek symbol for Christ) the symbol is a P with an X laid over it. The P and the X are the first and last letter in the word Christ in Greek. On the left side is the Alpha symbol and on the right is the Omega meaning the beginning and the end. He had his soldiers paint the symbol on their shields. The opposing Roman legions were so intimidated by the uniformity of the symbols all around them they fled in fear. Constantine won that battle without spilling a drop of blood. Constantine then secured his place as the new Roman Emperor after that incident. He then brought about Christianity and began to phase out the Roman Deities.

Constantine was a Roman leader that needed to consolidate rifts in the population due to religious differences.
This was seen as a weakness to his power and control over the people.
So religious leaders from various factions were invited by the emperor to form a state religion.
To achieve this they had to satisfy the majority of people.
This meant religious observances from many different religions had to be included into this one new religion.

So to keep the Christians happy , they included some parts of Christianity , ,to please the pagans , pagan teachings and traditions were accepted and all melted into one.
This is the start (but not the peak) of the teaching of the trinity doctrine in regards to Christianity.

Prior to this ., triune Gods were of well known to be of pagan origin.

Today those wishing to be true Christians do not ignore the true roots of so many so called 'beliefs' , ,they must abandon false teachings such as hellfire , the trinity and the immortal soul concepts that are undoubtedly pagan.

It should be obvious that God is not pleased with the filthy state of teachings that are often offered under the banner - 'Christianity'.

Yes, Emperor Constantine was the first Roman Emperor to come to believe in Christ, and it was under his rule that people could worship Christ 'in public' rather than hidden in the catacombs (underground burial chambers). Before Constantine, people had to 'hide' to worship Christ, after the could worship Christ openly everywhere that Constantine ruled ... the Roman Empire. That 'coming out of hiding' under Constantine was the best thing that could have happened because that is also when the COUNTRY took the 'new religion' as it's own ... and it was thus that Christianity was able to 'spread' to more people ... so it was Constantine who founded the Christianity we now have ... a free and openly worshiped Jesus Christ who stands 'between us and God' as our savior.

Fact of the matter is if Constantine hadn't made Christianity the official religion of the Roman empire it probably wouldn't have survived.

Because they are ignorant of the history of Christ's Church. Christ founded the Catholic Church which is the first Christian Church and the only Church until the Reformation when those protesting Christ's Church separated from His Church in the 16th century.

The emperor Constantine only stopped the persecution of the Church and made it legal in the Roman empire. The emperor never founded any church only recognized Christ's Church and gave it legal credibility.

constantine adopted christianity as the official religion of the roman empire. people confuse this with 'founding' the church (the church was already well organised with a substantial body of dogma and general agreement on the canon of the gospels long before this).

few people seem to realise that constantine himself became a christian only at the very end of his life (long after he adopted christianity as the official roman church).

constantine chose roman catholicism since it was the only church available at the time. and you are quite correct, the roman catholic church was founded not by constantine but by Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Mankind will make any man there founder if he pleases people are puts an itch in there ear. The true founder is always God...or as in Christ-ianity...men are always trying to take away the glory of God. example: If you do something at work and it is a good work, some other man might say he did it to steal your glory..

It was Constantine who initiated the effort to compile the modern day Bible. I've never heard him credited with founding Christianity though.
