Wouldnt God refer to Himself as God instead of Jesus if he was truly God?

Question

For example, if Jesus was truly God he would have changed his name to Yahweh and he didnt do that. Was he afraid of being lynched early on in the message?

Do you think God is afraid of anything?

I Am is not the name of God.

I Am is the awareness of God.

Thats not the same thing.

Jesus did not reveal the true nature of his mission on Earth until the very end. He claimed to be able to forgive sins, and also claimed to have existed before Abraham. This suggests divinity. That's why he was sentenced to death by the Pharisees.

He did not tell anyone he was the Christ until someone guessed it, and even then, he told his disciples to keep it to themselves. Had Jesus come right out and said "I'm God, and I'm here to make a New Covenant", everyone would have accepted his message out of fear.

Instead, he gives his message, and lets true believers show their faith of their own free will.

This is how I understand it. And it makes perfect sense to me, regardless of all the arguments against the logic of God being able to be in two places at once and place his own Spirit in a living man.

Yeah... They are One. it says in John 3:16. And the "I AM." I forget the chapters. And Jesus also said while He was convicted and questioned by Pontius Pilate that He would sent his angels if he wanted to. Thus, God only has angels. Moses dont have and so other people who's in heaven right now. Jesus was too humble that He just said that He is the Son of Man. Please read His Word. The Gospel - Holy Bible.

No..God the father can name himself as he wills, whether I am that I am, does someone who is perfect need to share anything with us ? or maybe the father in heaven just said trust in my son Jesus and you will have eternal life. Christ said " If you have seen me you have seen the father " " I and the father are one "
