I think everyone has some good in them. However, we are all human and sometimes humans make bad or impulsive decisions. I don't believe there is any great number of "evil" or "good" people. Perhaps there are a small group of people who fall into one extreme or the other. I think most everyone falls some place in between.

There is a little seed of (Good/God?) at the core of EVERYone. It is called LOVE. sometimes it gets buried, distorted or rejected.
It lives within, never dies and can be discovered and brought to awareness at any time.
How we respond to events in our lives determines the amount visible and whether we nurture it or not. Love is the WAY that Jesus refers to when He says 'I am the way.'
The 2nd coming is when that Love is reborn or awakened within the heart of man.

(2 Timothy 3:1-7) . . .But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. 6 For from these arise those men who slyly work their way into households and lead as their captives weak women loaded down with sins, led by various desires, 7 always learning and yet never able to come to an accurate knowledge of truth.

(Matthew 7:21-23) . . .“Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness.

(Matthew 7:13-14) . . .“Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; 14 whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.
