Fortunately in my 37 year working career before I took early retirement I only ever had 2 jobs . The first one lasted 5 years and I left to find a job with better prospects . Despite the low pay an this job I did learn a Hell of a lot about business and life in general
On my 2nd job which did indeed bring me the progress , job satisfaction and decent salary and pension fund I really enjoyed the roles I held over the 32 years
So it is easy for me , the 2nd job was definitely the best , but I wouldn't be too critical on the first either as it gave me a good platform in working life.

Best job was working at a Daycare on a Reservation. The people I worked with and the kids were all just terrific. It was non profit and the focus was really on the kids. The building was built as a daycare and had every amenity you could think of including a 2 story indoor slide and a teepee, it was a great place for kids. The money was terrible, but I didn't care.
The worst job was working in a Hair Salon doing the books and taking appointments. I worked with about 20 women and the drama was ridiculous. The backstabbing and pettiness was unbelievable, never again.

The job I liked the most was serving with London Transport, which I joined on leaving the army after the war. I became really interested after joining as a conductor, studying for RSA certs so as to achieve promotion. Pleased to say I went on through all the grades ending up with my own garage and several hundred staff, Drivers, Conductors and Officials. I retired after 42 years service, having had a contented work life. I have never had a bad job really, I suppose the army was the worst, but even that had it's moments

I used to be a medical rep., I worked for many different companies selling a variety of products, my best one was selling contrast media for use in MRI scanners, it was most interesting, at the cutting edge of technology and I was dealing with Neuro-Radiologists and University Hospital Professors.

After being made reduntant from one company, I took my worse job, as an interim measure, selling insurance door to door.

the best job was in a nursing home as a receptionist. The old folks are hysterically funny and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The worst was in a balloon making factory. Standing there putting balloons on these little things. It was awful.
