God's chosen people were the twelve tribes of Israel, who were given a specific task, to keep only God's Law and be an example to the nations of the world. The nations would see how wonderful it was to live under God's Laws and want to join. Sadly, Israel never kept their Covenant (contract) with God and never kept The Law and gave the example, so the nations never had an example to follow, only claims from Israel that they were special, which turned the nations away from God's Law instead of to it.
Contrary to a common misconception, the Jews of today are not God's only chosen people. The Jews are descended from only 2 of the tribes - Benjamin and Judah. A further 10 tribes of Israel exist, but have lost their identitiy over time.
Many historians believe the Anglo-saxon nations of today are descended from the 10 lost tribes of Israel, and ample evidence exists to support this belief.

God told Abraham that he, God, would make a great nation of him [ Abraham]
They became the Jews. God promised them a homeland. This was modern Israel.
The question arises...Are todays Jews still the chosen people?
The answer is No.
This ceased when Peter took the Good News, that was formerly preached only to the Jews....to the Gentiles, non Jews, commencing with the Roman Cornelius. Acts ch. 10.
Since then, the whole world is " the tribes of Israel".
(Revelation 7:9) After these things I saw, and, look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands.
...ALL NATIONS, PEOPLES , TRIBES, TONGUES...

The Chosen People are the Jews.
Even when Jesus taught it was entirely to Jews. He was a Jew. His ministry was to them.
There were a few exceptions, those who persisted.
After the Christian church was begun with the disciples (Book of Acts) again all that was for Jews. Paul is the first missionary to go to the Gentiles.
Many are called but few are chosen... is a verse in the New Testament. It is speaking of many people being called to God yet few "chosen" as in "selected". It is not the same as "The Chosen People" which is a race.
Those are Jews. Hebrews.
Gentiles were told they were grafted into the vine (Jewish branch) and were warned that if God would tear down the original to not think above ourselves as those who were grafted (inserted) in.
In the New Testament the CHURCH was full of people "called to be saints" and "brothers" and "sisters" and "mothers" and "fathers" showing it truly is a Family of God.
We are joint heirs as believers in the Christian faith.
But although the Jews are God's Chosen People, because of what they have done as is recorded, the same opportunity with God was opened up for all mankind. "Whosoever will, let them come." And we all belong to God.
Yet He has his Chosen People. This is said way back the FIRST time: ( King James Version)
Deuteronomy Chapter 7: Verses 5,6,7
5But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.
6For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy ----------->>>>God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, ---------->>>> above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
7The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; ---->>for ye were the fewest of all people

Ego trippers- Sadly at least half of America seems to think they are the chosen people and we wonder why the world is against the US!!!!
But then America has so many sects that whilst many call themselves Christian they have re written the bible so much and formed so many sects that they have already diluted Christianity and steered the American church well away from basic Christianity!!!

People who are especially chosen by god. Strangely, it's never another group, only the ones who belong to the group that god has supposedly chosen.

God chooses faithful people to favor, groom and then reward. His first chosen people were Israel and His chosen people of today are His Christians.
Are you among God's chosen?

Self-righteous morons who have an answer for everything and feel that they are better than everyone else because they are part of a religion that makes them all the same.
IN other words - those who do not know how to enjoy themselves because they are too busy earning thier ticket to 'Heaven'.

They found favor with God. Because they had a pure heart. Everyone else at the time were corrupt with false gods and filthy life styles.
