well the jihad has three types;
1. jihad with nafs i.e., war with yourself, keeping away yourself from forbidden things. the war with your inner man, not to let your heart or brain into a certain thing which is against the Religion, example, wine is forbidden in Islam so i have to stop myself from drinking alcohol.
2. jihad with qalam i.e., war with pen against evil, against the leaders who are not taking any action to tackle country's problems.
3. jihad with talwar i.e., war against the non-muslims when they occupy muslim states, like in Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan. or it can be against country's leader who is not going through or with Islamic teachings, example is what is happening in Pakistan now a days.
Jihad is every where at every time.

In line with islamic teaching jihad is the war in maintaining Islam and in protecting muslims from the attackers of non muslim sodiers or muslims who work together with muslim enemies.
It can be practised in the war in Iraq and Afghanistan in this modern day because the attackers are non muslim soldiers
who invaded their countries without solid and valid reason.
There also the value of jihad which can be obtained in the peaceful countries such as died on the birth of her child,,die d on the preventing his/her own wealth from the robber,died on the plane crash,died on coming back home from his office in a car collision etc.

By sending a muslim to space.
The first muslim has traveled in space via arrangement between Malaysia and Russia.
Jihad need not be in the form of war with blood shed. Jihad can be done in many other ways...
For example by way of obtaining economic might.
Do some mergers and acquisitions.

Resistence movements are philosophically jihadist groups in the muslim world. The end goal is usually political and not religious at all but religion is used by those in power to get the weak to fight for them.

I'm not sure, but I think it has something to do with wrapping a turban counter-clockwise around your head and saying abba dabba. I might be wrong, so don't hold me to it.
