God in the bible is constantly interfering with the free will of humanity. Repeatedly, God "hardened Pharaoh's heart," and by the time he was done, innocent Egyptian children were killed by The Almighty himself.
Did I miss the part where God said he didn't do that no more?

Interesting. I think the most significant point about the myth of satan is that it says evil is:
1) not the result of God's activity or something which s/he wills
2) exists prior to and independent of human activity
Evil is, then, essentially a "rogue" force at work in the universe, yet God doesn't interfere with the will of the evil one anymore than s/he interferes with ours. Satan, then, has the capacity to influence human decisions, but surely God would provide a counter-force (say, conscience)? The question is how much can a spiritual being truly "interfere" with our decisions, and I would say, "not really that much." Our decisions at any given moment are limited to the range of choices we can conceive at that moment. So satan would, in theory, be able to "tempt" us by offering choices which otherwise wouldn't appear to our conscious minds (or would they?). But I think that's the extent of it.
Of course, according to the myth, satan's primary sin was pride, so he would love to take credit for as much as we'll give him, right?
Peace to you.

The point is, with free will, that we are provided a choice. Good or evil... God or Satan.
God promotes our free will by teaching us that if we follow in the ways of goodness, Satan will have no power over us.
Since God does all within his power to warn us of dangerous ground, and to keep us on a path of freedom (ie spiritual enlightenment), it is not God that allows Satan to have power over us, but a choice that we make for ourselves.
Each step in the upward direction gives us more and more freedom, as our minds become enlightened and our spirits become empowered.

Coz god does not interfere with satans purpose in lives.
well,...maybe to a certain point.
I wouldn't really know since they are the ones watching over and under us.
Satan may be very bad, but he is the one that brings balance and learnings to our everyday life.
you can look at it this way, if there are no negative beings here, we might all become saints.
as much as God wants us all to become saints, he created satan to test how weak or strong we are.

when the bible says that satan is the "god of this world" it isn't saying that he has ultimate authority. it is conveying the idea that satan rules over the unbelieving world in a specific way. satan's agenda includes pushing a false philosophy onto the unbelieving world—a false philosophy that blinds the unbeliever from the truth of the gospel. satan’s philosophies are the fortresses in which people are imprisoned, needing to be set free and brought captive to Christ in obedience to the truth.
in short, free will is still present, it is up to the individual to withstand/give in to temptation. satan sets the agenda, the unbelieving world follows, and mankind continues to be deceived. it is no wonder that scripture calls satan a liar

a good honest question thanks
most have answered well
of course when one is set against the love of Jesus no facts information or answer will do
once he was a cuss word to me and I mocked him too
yet this is to the last answerer, Pharoah was given many miracles to help him believe, he hardened his own heart over and over again, and for babies to grow up under those that reject salvation and the miracles of God, it is a double shame.
at least there is a heaven and its better than growing up rejecting truth and living in lies and dying and going to where it is only prepared for satan to be tormented there forever in weeping, yet all that chose to reject the truth get to join him gnashing teeth forever in regret of their choice Matthew 24 especially verse 51 John 12:48 The one that rejects my word, will be judged by my word in the last day.
John 3 repent and be born again-free will
John 10 chose Jesus the good shepherd and get the more abundant life by free choice too
have a great day and keep the good questions coming yet then again its your free will thank Jesus.

God is so honest that He enables incredibly everyone unfastened will - devil besides. He supplies us a fashion of get away -- Himself. He bridged the hollow between God and guy while He died on the circulate. he will ruin devil, and all evil, at some point, and that i've got faith that day is getting very close now. he will enable evil to fill its cup and then that is going to all come to an end. meanwhile, he's giving us time, to come again to our senses and return to Him so He can save us. What a affected person God! i've got faith the in simple terms right evil is to objective to ruin oneself, and while human beings attempt to do this, God will step in and placed an end to the earth, taking His human beings homestead to heaven.

God has no control over satan, satan was a fallen angel of God so God made a place for him and his followers(other fallen angels) called hell as you probably know... so God has no control over what satan does so you have to try to "fight" satan... its hard but just try

Satan doesn't interfere with anyone's freewill. You are the one who either chooses to follow his temptings or not.
