Well...from what I'm reading, it looks like Seth was born after Cain killed his brother, Abel. Genesis 4:25.
The reason it says from Adam, there came Seth is because Jesus came through Seth's lineage and not from Cain's and obviously not Abel's, because Abel died.
Hmm...thought-provoking...
Hey, big_puff: Adam did not die in that same 24-hour day, but from God's point of view, he did. From that day forward he started to get old and eventually died. Now, keep in mind that for God 1000 years is like one day. 2 Peter 3:8. So, technically, Adam did die within that day because 930 years is less than a thousand.

Cain, Abel, and Seth were the 3 identified children of Adam and Eve, in the Torah. There were hundreds of other offspring, but no others were named. Seth was identified in the New Testament as the ancestor of Jesus just before Adam.
The story is a parable, so "not true," is my answer.

Abel was slain and Cain was cast out, marked with a curse. You can not trace linneage back through one who was slain without traceable descendants and it would be improper to trace back through the other.
Edit:
Even though he continued to have physical life, on the day he ate from the forbidden tree Adam died. He was removed from the place of his former life. The Spirit of God no longer lived in him. Sin and death entered the world. God did not lie or give any false prophecy. To say otherwise would mean the one giving instruction has knowledge of that previous existence with God in the garden that he can relate for enlightenment.

the bible does not say that seth was adam and eve’s first child, or even first son, after abel was killed. rather, it states that seth was born as a “replacement” for abel. genesis chapter 5 traces the genealogy of seth. prior to his death, abel was likely the “chosen” son that would eventually produce the messiah [genesis 3:15]. it is in this sense that seth “replaced” abel.

Actually, it has been proven that the first people were a tribe in Africa. That is fact. The following is a legend that has been passed down for generations, and found its way into the Bible. This place was considered paradise, and eventually two people wronged the tribe. They were banished from the rest of the tribe and paradise.
This tribe has been traced back using markers found in modern day man. Using these markers, we found that this African tribe actually were the first men, and while following food travelled and began to populate the Earth. There path was from Africa to Mesopotamia. (Some stayed and later ventured to Europe and Northern Asia.) They then went through India and walked to Australia (tectonic plates allowed this to happen.) Those that inhabited Northern Asia eventually walked across to Alaska and became Native Americans. Of course, some others continued their journey to South America.
So, there you have it: Adam and Eve... true.
God's involvement... false.

Genesis 5:5 "And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died."
Adam finally dies -- 930 years after eating from the tree of knowledge, contrary to God's false prophecy that Adam would die the day that he ate the forbidden fruit (Genesis 2:17).
When did Adam die?

Yadda yadda. The consequences of which babies Adam and Eve had first are nonexistent, minimal at best. Adam and Eve did not populate and logically could not have populated this earth.

you're splendid! Adam and Eve have been actual. Jesus is even called "the final Adam", could he be stated as somebody who did no longer exist? i'm surprised on the numerous fake teachings of Catholics and what's greater ideas-baffling is they proceed with their lies even while they have been shown to be so. you are the no longer the 1st Catholic to assert that they've been taught Genesis is a fantasy. Jesus is termed the "final Adam" in that, the 1st one, a actual individual who exchange into acceptable, chosen to disobey our writer and consequently lost eternal existence for anybody. There mandatory to be an substitute, a acceptable guy for a acceptable guy as a ransom. That acceptable guy exchange into Jesus. Jesus then is stated through fact the final Adam through fact he gave his existence so shall we back have the possibility to have eternal existence. (John 3:sixteen) So mutually as the 1st Adam lost existence for us, the final Adam have been given it decrease back for us. So it particularly is written: “the 1st guy Adam grew to alter right into a residing being”?a?; the final Adam, a existence-giving spirit. The non secular did no longer come first, however the organic, and after that the non secular. the 1st guy exchange into of the dirt of the earth, the 2d guy from heaven.(a million Corinthians 15:40 5-40 seven) Romans 5:12-14 says: "consequently, merely as sin entered the international with the aid of one guy, and death with the aid of sin, and in this manner death got here to all adult males, through fact all sinned— for till now the regulation exchange into given, sin exchange into interior the international. yet sin isn't taken into consideration while there's no regulation. although, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over people who did no longer sin via breaking a command, as did Adam, who exchange right into a trend of the only back." this is obtrusive the early Christians believed in Adam and Eve and so genuine Christians immediately have faith interior the Genesis account. in the adventure that your church/faith is coaching falsehoods, you're able to desire to get out and learn actuality. examine the Bible, do no longer in basic terms have faith what some individual tells you approximately it. examine it your self!
