How do you think Christians should act?

I do agree with alot of you .. We (Christians) should be loving and True. I apologize for the ones that haven't acted that way. For one persons comment that it is noone's business how Christians act. It is their business because we do have to prove ourselves.

I dont think that we have to question who we serve because noone is going to change our minds and we shouldn' care if ppl think that we are strange.

But we shouldn't act better than anyone. That is offensive coming from anyone

I am Pagan and to have to say. Christians indeed need to step back and take the whole picture in. Also Atheists and I have a great understanding =) we don't push or try to convert, we talk and understand and listen. Not saying all Christians try and push, but maybe eating some good old humble pie didn't hurt anyone.

I have Christian friends too and when we get together, religion is never talked about as to be polite and understand everyone is entitled to their point of view & we enjoy the company we are with & above all else we are all only human.

Christians who are tolerant of others are not living up to what it means to be a True Christian

The word "tolerance" never even appeared in scripture until the 60's and 70's when the NEW American Standard and NEW International versions of the bible came into being. In the King James and original American Standard versions the word used was "forbearance" which itself could imply something altogether different. It should also be noted that at the time the NEW versions of the bible were printed, Marxist liberals were tenaciously teaching tolerance as the NEW measure of morality in America from kindergarten through seminary.

The cross is a lot of things to a lot of people but it IS NOT a lesson in tolerance. If God were tolerant of sin He never would have sacrificed His "Only Begotten" to suffer and die so horrendously for the likes of you and me.

I'm not a particularly religious person myself, so I'll try to give a good answer. Many people throughout history have given their lives for their religious beliefs. It is saddening in this so-called civillised new millenium that followers of ANY religion should feel even slightly persecuted for their beliefs. The only thing that unnerves me about Christianity are the weirdos on American religious TV channels, the healers who want money. But I'm sure most Christians do not associate themselves with that branch of their religion. I have never experienced a follower of any religion force their beliefs on me, so I have no reason to feel any objection to an individual following their faith. So to answer your question, don't act in any way that you are not comfortable with just because it would suit atheists. They do not have the right to force THEIR philosophy on the world any more than a religious person does.Be comfortable as a human being who has a strong faith.

Christian way of life is somewhat super boring to me, because a Christian cannot PARTY OUT!, go drinking and dancing, this to me is very super extremely boring...... I like to go dancing and drinking at the happy hours, but at the same time, still find time to go to church. I wouldn't consider myself an Atheist, because the higher power intelligence has a way of creating beautiful life on this planet, that I cannot seem to understand how does God do this. However, I do wonder and ponder deeply into the mind of God...his misterious ways of handling everyday life, with us human beings. So, yes even though I don't go to church anymore, I do think [deep deep inside my mind [a mixture of common sense and ulta reasoning] about GOD/Jesus/Holy spirit/higher power intelligence. The engineer of life on Earth, all the creatures of the sea, land and air... that have 2 eyes, 1 nostril, a tongue, a mouth, 2 ears- same basic internal organs, brain, heart, kidneys, etc,etc... JUST LIKE US HUMAN BEINGS.

That is a good question I have never given it much thought. I believe they should act like responsible citizens and obey the laws. They should be courteous to others. They should not take any harassment or discourtesy from anyone. If unjustly attacked they should defend themselves with vigor.

Acting like Jesus would be a radical departure which nobody would see coming. But you would earn the respect of both atheists and Christians alike.

Well you fooled me, I thought it was fake.

How should they act? Like good decent people like everyone should act. But respectful that if other people what to share their beliefs, then as adults they will seek it out for themselves. Don't act like you are special and higher then others. Don't word things in ways that are belittling to others. And no hypocritical nonsense.

Like the Bible is a guide, not instruction manual. And like it was written thousands of years ago and parts need to be amended or omitted.

Well, it's a start at least.

Like people who have their beliefs, but respect others who just so happen to not believe the way they do.

Like Gentlemen or Ladies.
I also believe they need to lose their tunnel vision. This would help them in many aspects of their life.
