If so, then there must be no God, as he would not let his children die out. How would a Christian worm his/her way out of this dilemma?

Just to let you know, im Christian and i go to church. Although there is nothing stopping me from asking myself these questions. I dont want to die feeling as if i was 'suckered in' my whole life. I try to rely on my personal experiences instead of a book written by humans over 2000 years ago.

This is obviously a shot at christianity, and even though i am not a religious person a christian would probably say that the end of the world was cause by humans free will and the sins they commited exercising said will. It is said in some part of the bible also, that the world cannot end until the jewish temple is rebuilt in jerusalem, which is currently occupied by one of the most holy mosque's in the islamic religion. So that probably wont happen soon. The history channel says the world will in in 2012 though, so im waiting to see.
