Recently, I answered a question asking people what they thought should happen to a teacher who had sex with and kidnapped a 13-year-old illegal alien. The question has been deleted, but I was appalled to see that most people who answered seemed to think what the teacher did was justified because her victim was an illegal alien! Do you really think that crimes are justified when committed against illegal aliens? If so, are they justified when the victims are guilty of other crimes?

Just so you know, I'm not sure if the case in that question I'm talking about really happened. The asker did not make it clear, and did not provide any links to articles about the case, so I don't know whether it is true, made up, or if they used it as a hypothetical example.

Well, apparently it is a real case. Thank you for posting that link, Chief Whachusa.

Any person who agreed with that situation is sick, ignorant, and obviously uncaring. No PERSON of CHILD (person or child, legal or not) deserves cruel punishment of any kind, particularly being raped and kidnapped. Unfortunately, there are individuals in this country who feel that they are justified in their illegal actions, and take advantage of individuals because of their immigration status and the probability that they won't be caught due to the fear inflicted onto the immigrant. No crime is justifiable, especially a violation of a person's inalienable human rights, regardless of their status. The USA, the country that promotes human rights and donates billions of dollars of aid (27.6 billion last year, to be exact) a year to other countries and states to promote and introduce human rights, and its citizens should never condone such treatment. In the Constitution, a person who is deserving of rights and civil liberties is defined as a human being, not as a human being who is with or without status.

I do not care if this was an illegal alien or not, this is sickening, and she should be punished as a sex offender. If the mentality of the jurors are anything like the ones who answered the question she will not be found guilty. This was a child no matter where he came from. The teacher needs to be locked up, and when she comes out be a registered sex offered for the rest of her natural life and never teach or come in contact with children again. Women are beginning to make the news by doing some despicable things to childen. There have already been 3 in the news who were accused of the same thing.

Violent or sexual crimes are not justifiable for any reason, on any person or living being.

Illegals are still people, just like you and me. If a person (illegal alien or citizen) breaks the law, they should be dealt with as the law proscribes.

The punishment for the illegal should be deportation, with the understanding with the country of origin that the person will be incarcerated in that country.

No, crimes against illegals are not justified any more than the crimes the victim may have committed are. One has nothing to do with the other and legal status, or lack thereof, is not a justification for either.

Any crime against a child is heinous. I in no way find justification in breaking the law just because the law was broken on the other end.
Illegal aliens are already breaking the law by being here and that doesn't give them a right to commit crimes.
The human race should be kinder to one another and follow the golden rule (and not break the law)

It is abominable if a crime is perpetrated against an illegal alien or any other person. The crime should be treated in a court the same no matter who is involved including movie stars or other people of high profiles.

Shoot no! What the hell people? If that was you in Mexico and someone kidnapped and mollested your teenage child, would you think it okay for their govt to let the suspect get away. That's sick. We have a duty to protect every person in this country. I am so disappointed in the way people act towards Mexicans. It is really sickening that some people want them gone so bad that they would not want someone, a trusted teacher even, locked up for doing this to a child. If they did it before, they'd do it again. She was probably teaching bc she liked young boys. She's a pedophile!

No, any crime against anyone is wrong. While I strongly oppose illegal immigration I do support "human" rights to everyone. That woman should be prosecuted for a sex crime. I can not imagine anyone thinking the molestation or rape of any child acceptable.

Wow... how callous can people get.

Just because they are not citizens of the United States it DOES NOT make them any less of a human being that can be treated in any which way.

Isn't that how a dude named Adolf described non-Aryans, as untermenschen or sub-human... See what happens when idiots take this kind of thought to heart and run away with it? It leads to the dehumanization and subsequent maltreatment and extermination of other people.

People, isn't there a quote that states "Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it." Hate to see the irony in this as the U.S. is the beacon of democracy and equality...
