Linoleum can be found in any good DIY or hardware store. You can buy it in two ways as pre-sticky tiles (just like stickers) that you can cut and stick into the bottom of the cage or you can buy it in the size you want and the hardware store will cut it off the roll for you, this type of lino can need a glue but for a pets cage it can be laid on the floor that way it is easy to remove and wash out when you need to clean them but it is quite heavy so the GP shouldn't be able to get under it and the static charge on the linoleum makes it grip any clean smooth surface.

Your GP will also need bedding firstly to snuggle in and secondly to soak up when they go to the toilet. I always line my guinea pigs cage with a dust extracted saw dust (it is very important it is dust extracted as it can irritate their eyes) which is avaliable at any good pet store. Also always give your GP plenty of hay, they use it to bed in and it is a huge dietary requirement. Do not give them straw as this can in rare cases hurt them (can even pop there eyes). You local pet store will have more info and wil le able to advice you more.

Whatever you do, DO NOT corner them or chase them in any way. This will traumatize them, and they will learn to hate being handled at all. You need to get them to come to you. Lure them with treats they like. Make sure nothing crazy is going on in the room. No bright lights, loud sounds, lots of movement. Having quiet, constant sound like music does help though. Make sure you crouch down to seem smaller, speak softly to them, and offer treats. You can get a large empty container, like a small cardboard box, and use that to slowly scoop them in, and set them into the cage. They dart and run fast probably because you are moving quickly as well. You need to mellow down, and really give them no reason to want to escape. If everything moves slow, they will probably sit still in fear, rather than run in fear. When you catch them, don't take advantage by holding them longer, and just put them back as soon as you can. Give them a treat, or leave soem food they like for them, and

Stick on linoleum tiles can be found at any hardware or home store. They are cheap and easy to use, just cut them to fit.

Aspen or carefresh are good beddings.

Don't forget to give your GP PLENTY of timothy hay, every day.

If you don't know much about guinea pigs, PLEASE learn about them BEFORE you get one.
