I have received a text file (.txt) from a co-worker that is password protected and I cannot open it. I NEED to open this tonight and he will not be back online again until tomorrow. I have no way of getting the password. How Can I view the contents of this file, or remove the password?

Also - The text file is inside of a zip folder, if that matters. I am unable to remove the file from the zip folder as well.

You can't unless you have the password. That is why it is password protected. Someone doesn't want you to open it.

The password protection is on the zip file. You can e-mail me the zip file if you want me to try opening it, otherwise you will need to find a software that will try all password combinations (or dictionary attempts) and it could take many years.

Anytime a torrent download directs you to a site for a password, it is a scam. The download is not what it claimed to be, so even if you could open it you would not find anything you wanted. Sorry, but you should delete and find another.
