Cos when you love someone you want them to return the feelings or hope that they will because you want to be with them.. But when the feelings are not reciprocated then that's where the feelings of hurt come in. Depending on the situation you would also think of confessing your feelings but yet you would be afraid of rejection. Then you would probably start thinking that there's something wrong with yourself, or the person loves someone else, or if the person just finds you annoying, etc.. More or less you become extremely self-conscious and doubtful yet still hoping that the person you love will love you back. This is what I felt when I had a one-sided love. Hope this helps!

people need other people. it's human nature.
when you care for someone and want them to be happy, of course you want to be the one MAKING them happy. when you find out you might not be able to do it...sometimes you try to change, sometimes you start to feel depressed or self conscious, but later you realize you can never force true love no matter how beautiful they might be, or how much fun you have together or whatever the case.
good luck with your heart-affairs<3

Because you're putting all your feelings out there for them and they have none in return for you. You get hurt and they don't care enough to realize that anyone has feelings to begin with. You lose every time. Don't Play!!!

I believe that's how God feels. He loved us so much that He gave His only begotten Son to die for us, so that if we believe in Jesus Christ and accept His atonement for our sins, we will be saved, yet so many people refuse to believe this and love Him. I think this hurts Him very much! God bless you!!!

Because it's hard to let go of the idea that maybe someday they'll love you back.. even though chances are they won't.

It's better to "love and lost," than to "never have loved at all."
I grew up an "orphan" and know the feeling. Bless you. <}:-})

Because you are really loving yourself, otherwise it wouldn't hurt.
