No, all rat poison is harmful to pets. I put traps on my rafters in my basement. I don't want any kind of traps near my dogs. none. I would not put any traps outside cause other animals could get trapped in them. If you have no choice then i would call a professional. We have an abandon place near us and sometimes the rats come to my place and my neighbors and i just want them gone so i know how you fill. Mice and Rats smell your dogs food and that is what they are probably after. They love dog food. So try and keep your dogs food in a container or something. If your dog has any food left over after he is done eating make sure that you put it away.

NO. Rat poison is deadly to EVERYTHING. If you poison a rat and a cat or dog then eats that rat, you will have killed the cat or dog too.
If you have a rat problem, first of all, clean up your space and don't leave garbage around. Secondly, get a HUMANE trap or have an Animal Control company HUMANELY trap the rats and move them.
DO NOT use glue traps! Those are the most inhumane things ever invented, except maybe for leg hold traps.

Nope, not as far as I know....traps and poisen pets CANNOT get to is all I know.. How about hiring a professional and boarding the pets in the meantime?

No, there isn't. Please do not risk it; I've seen too many animals in the ER with rat poisoning. Please consider a humane trap or an exterminator.
