In Sydney for instance we have some very upmarket Harbourside suburbs, some of which contain Public Housing or Housing Commission blocks of apartment, you can always tell them apart ! Why is this, why does the scourge of society plague us by "stealing" Million dollar views ?

How fair is it that most people are forced to pay exhorbitant rents or are mortgaged to the hilt and these bludgers enjoy the same upmarket water side address ? Shouldn't they be relocated to the country, or outer suburbs ?

it really is said as having a "mixed" community. no longer racially, yet economically. it really is totally difficulty-free the position i'm to have ward 8 housing throughout the line from multi million greenback mansions. in a lot of ideas it provides reward to the undesirable in words of better public colleges, better centers, yet then the rich flow or positioned their childrens into deepest colleges. it really is type of a capture 22 situation.

I'm so sorry to hear that the dirty, disgusting poor people are ruining your perfect million dollar views! (SARCASM)

I am so sick of elitist idiots like you! Why do you care if there are public housing blocks in your neighborhood? Do you despise the poor people so much you can't stand seeing the buildings where they live? The real "scourge of society" is elitist morons like you who think they are better than other people, just because they make more money and live in fancy houses or apartments! I hope you lose your job, can't find another one, and have to live in public housing or even better become homeless! Maybe that will teach you to have some compassion for the poor and homeless! Rich, arrogant snobs like you make me sick!

Do you think you are above anyone just because of paper? Yes money is paper! I really don't feel sorry for you! If you have so much money and want to isolate yourself, Why don't you buy an Island? How sad that I actually have to share this planet with the likes of someone like you! Ugh there is not enough money in the world to be able to get away from someone like you! Go buy an island and please leave people alone. They deserve peace just like you. Hopefully nothing bad will ever happen to you. I hope you never lose your home in a fire and become homeless and then someone makes comments about you on the internet. You can learn something from people that have money but are still humble. Bill Gates for example.

Well, I'm shocked. I always thought that Australia was the land of milk and honey and every one was a mate to each other and they sat around having shrimp on the barby while downing a Fosters. Guess not. Your plaint is not too different from plaints in the US. The unpleasant truth is that a view doesn't have a monetary value that can be reimbursed legally if the state "takes" it from you.

We've the same "trouble " here in America. The answer is, that if you were to only allow them to exist in certain areas and keep the more well to do areas free of blight, you'd be accused of trying to keep them down and making it impossible for them to move up and out. As well, it could then be said that you were insulating the well to do's from those who occupy such dwellings.
Here, the battle cry is for "More affordable housing." Affordable? To whom? Personally, I like having a great deal of space, so, I purchased ten acres. I don't have to look at my neighbors and the only ones who venture down my drive way (1,000 ft) are either the mail man, the pizza delivery guy or those looking for trouble. It's all about the "Have's and Have Not's."
