It's confusing perhaps because this person doesn't know what the truth is. Reconciling the Bible with the Koran, or disputing the Bible because of the Koran is confusion. There is no reconciliation between the Bible and the Koran.

You see, the Muslims I have communicated with have certain problems. They try to take certain things of the Bible and use them to their advantage. If it were me, I would have warned Muhammed about doing that. It makes a mess.

I will demonstrate:

1) Muslims say they believe in Jesus Christ. But they do not believe what He said when He said:
John 3
16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."

They don't believe that Jesus said that, and so are saying that Christians are liars, the disciples are liars, and the Bible is full of lies. They cannot have it both ways, either they don't believe in the Bible, or they do. If they discount the most often used verses and most meaningful and basic principles of what Jesus said, then they really don't believe in Jesus, because the Bible has him saying that He is God's Son.

2) The Muslims say they believe in the Torah. Either they are telling me the wrong thing, or they are lying, and do not believe in the Torah. Because the Torah says:
Genesis 17
21 But my covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you by this time next year."

That's not Ishmael. That's Isaac. And that's not Hagar, the mother of Ishmael, but Sarah, the mother of Isaac.

So either the Muslims are lying and really do not believe the Torah, or they are confused, and are taught to believe that they believe in something that is not true.

Mohammed made a mistake by taking the Bible and using it as a reference. Because no matter how they try, they cannot cut it up like they do and still be in agreement with it.
