Have been sick for a few months. Bleeding rectally and vaginally. Drs are being secretive. Had colonoscopy, lower GI followed by UGI, small bowel series today. What does cancer look like on an xray? Is it gray with lines, all white, or dark? Any websites that anyone knows to research this myself? Im getting frustrated. Thank you for all the help...to everyone that has answered my questions.

I work with a lot of physicians and they are anything but "secretive." They do not lie or hide things from their patients.
Barium swallows do not diagnose cancer. If they suspect you have cancer, they would be doing a CT scan of your abdomen and pelvis followed by a biopsy.
Cancer is not visible on an XR. They must be looking for something else.
As for the colonoscopy, the result is usually instant. The gastroenterologist will tell you immediately if he saw anything suspicious. They do biopsies and the result comes from the pathologist usually in 24 hours.

I'm pretty sure there dark shadows. I'm not doctor but my mum was diagnosed in may with kidney cancer that spread to liver and lung. i looked at her films, and the radiologist circled and measure all dark shadows.
