Do you believe the dead can contact you?

Question

I don't know if my mom is crazy or what because she watches that silvia brown and I tell her about the dreams I have about my dad and she says he's trying to contact me. I'm only 15 and he passed away about 2 years ago and I have about 4-5 dreams about him a week. My mom or sister don't have nearly this much.
I just want your opinion.. if you think the dead tries to contact people.

No, I don't think so. If they could, I think we all would have been contacted by our loved ones who have died. It is weird that you are having that many dreams about him every week. It seems to be quit excessive. Maybe you need to talk about him more, since he is obviously in your subconscious. Do you enjoy dreaming about him? I've had 2 dreams about a friend who died years ago and sometimes I wish I would dream about him more, to see his face.
I've watched Silvia Brown on the Montel Williams show. It's amazing to watch, but I find it hard to believe. I think your Mom is highly convinced by Silvia Brown, but I don't think she is crazy.
P.S. I'm sorry..but what "thinkasp" wrote is the dumbest thing...our dreams go where the dead spirits go? What the h*ll does that mena...lol how stupid.

You're probably processing a lot of feelings about your dad right now, or you've stuffed a lot of feelings so they're coming out in your dreams. Four or five dreams a week is quite a lot, so I think I'd be asking what sort of feelings I was having about my dad rather than whether he was trying to contact me.

But just say your mom and sister were right -- what would that mean? What would your dad be telling you? To let him go and to move on with your life? That it's okay to say goodbye to him and be happy. That he's proud of you? That he'll always be in your heart? I think the answer IS in your heart. It doesn't have to be a whoo-whoo ghostly thing.

I've seen shades, no other way to explain it. Shocked the heck out of me because I never believed in such things. But they seemed completely unaware of me. I don't think they were self-aware either, but how could you tell?

It was spooky.

My son and my wife also saw them. My son was only 3 but he asked who those people were, which is what got our attention.

They were walking with just their upper "bodies" sticking up through the floor. The right height for walking on the original ground surface before the house was built. I didn't think until later that I should have gone downstairs to see if their lower halves were hanging out of the ceiling there.

I do believe that sometimes they do, but i think there is something you may be thinking about in relation to your father and your subconscious is picking this up that is why the dreams. But he may be trying to just tell you everything is ok, try to remember the dreams and write them down in the morning if you can, just keep a little log of them and as you go thru your day try to think about what it could relate to. What are the dreams about. Are you having any personal problems, he may be trying to comfort you.

I'm a Christian and thus believe the Bible. It says "It's appointed for man "once to die and then face judgment'. Another clue to this question is in the story of Lazarath. He was a rich selfish man who died and went to hell. He asked Moses if he could return to earth and warn his brothers. Moses told him "there's a great chasm between the living and the dead that no one can cross" Thus I don't think you're receiving vibes from you dad.

I think you're dreaming because you don't feel closure. Maybe everything in your heart or problems between you weren't dislodged.. Visualize doing this after determining the issues. Pray for God to give you understanding and wisdom . Did you know that "God teaches us in our dreams. (Job) You're learning about death and the importance of communication with the living?

I have had people who have passed come to me in dreams too( my grandma and grandpa). I use to think it was just a dream until one of the people was a friend that I knew. I didn't know that he had died and in my dream he was floating near me. The next week I decided to try to get in contact with him and his mother told me he had passed 2 months before. So I do think that it is possible.

Usually having dreams about something over and over means you are finally letting go of something, in this case probably his death. And no, I don't think the dead try to contact people, but I LOVE shows like Most Haunted and stuff!

I personally don't think so, but I believe God knows our hearts and our needs and if he thinks we need to see a loved one and or receive a message, I think he would let that happen. There are many different kinds of dreams. Some are very direct and didactic or instructive. Some are symbolic. Some are just ramblings. Some are nightmares. I don't have those.

yes, i am sorry about your lost is good that you are dreaming with him i am sure the rest of your family wishes they can dream with him

2 years ago my mother sold a house 100 milles away from where we live we got the deposit and we have to go on a Friday to the title office to close and sign the deal, the buyer didn't show up my mother was very upset she called the guy 50 times over the weekend and nothing on Monday we are in the city downtown and we see the guy across the street,he moves his hand saying hi, my mother very upset goes across the street and the guy is gone ,we walk and a few seconds later he is a block away looking at us moving his hands ,we run and lose the guy again

so that night on Monday we drive 100 milles to his house my mother is very upset she thing this guy is making funn of her
when we get to the house every body is going out to a funeral

to make it short the guy got kill on a motorcycle accident on Thursday morning , he was death and we saw him that morning
he knew that he miss the house closing

I think they do but not through other people I think that is crap I don't know how its done but I'm sure the dead wouldn't use some living stranger to contact us they would just write something on the mirrorare contact us themselves its har to explain I do believe in it but not the way its claimed to be done.
