I live on the East Coast and need the interior of our house painted, what is the going rate per square foot?

This is not a new house, the house is vacant, so no furntiture to move. I would like to know about how much per square foot I should be willing to pay. Thanks

you have prep, prime,2-coats of paint for walls & ceilings
around 1.05/sq ft this does not take into account for trim & border which is another $.85/linear foot

Have never heard of anyone charging "per sq ft" to paint a room. An average size room, like around 11X14 should be about $200.
