I know you can get a license to carry a concealed weapon, but what if I want to carry my gun on the outside like a they did in the old west. I'm being a little silly, but is that illegal?

Check with your state laws. If it states concealed, then that's what it means. This isn't the old west.

Depends on the state. It is legal to carry openly in the state of Arizona. But not to conceal it.
My question for you would be, why do you want people to know that you have a gun. Concealment is part of self defense. Plus if they know it is there, the likelihood of it being taken from you by someone is pretty good.
My advice, leave guns alone.

check with your state law on that. In Texas you may only carry it concealed unless you are in law enforcement then you'd be able to carry it visible with badge next to it. almost all states' laws are like that. I'm not sure about Arizona.

Depends on the state.
Up in Yankee-land it probably isn't legal to even OWN a gun, unless you have buddy that knows someone who has a friend that works for the state and that you gave the guy good baskteball tickets to so that after you filled out ton of paperwork and kissed up a lot and paid a big fee they issued you a permit to own a gun.

It is legal in Arizona to carry in public, but I think that is the exception rather than the norm.........
