No you cant because if you could people would just rent games and copy them. I also find it lazy at switching games. ^_^

Ya both valid points, once the developers use all 50gb of the BlueRay disk it would be impossible to even get two games if it were possible to copy them to the HDD, right now they are still on 25gb so theoretically you could get 3 on 80gb. This is achievable on PC (I've done it with CS:CZ) It takes a lot of space, but it can be done. The PS3 however cannot do this so sorry:( And come on... its not that hard to change a disk, or just keep playing the same game. At least you can turn it off with the controller though.

Some games offer you the option to copy some parts of the game to the harddisc for faster loading times.

But for copy protection reasons, there is no way to copy a whole game to the Harddisc and leave the game disc out.

So what you want to do (changing games without getting up) will not be possible.

No, you can't store an entire PS3 game on your PS3's hard drive.

The games on the PS3 are so large in size that you would only have enough space to save at least 3 or 4 games on it if you had the 60GB or 80GB PS3.

It's illegal and Sony had done it's best to prevent PS3 from running images of games from hard drive.
