Rice is a better grain for dogs. Be careful of corn based foods, because corn can cause allergies in dogs. If your pooch is always scratching, licking his paws and licking at the floor, he may have a corn allergy. The rice is DEFINITELY a good move for him.

Yes, vets will often tell you to make this for your dog. It is gentle on the stomach and very bland. I often boil or broil the chicken and then cut it into very small pieces and mix with the cooked rice. They usually like this. Hope your dog is better soon.

Commonly if pets, mainly dogs are having vomiting or diarrhea, vets will prescribe a "bland diet" which consists of skinless boiled chicken with no seasonings, white rice, and low-fat cottage cheese. Then, slowly start blending in your regular diet.

Yes, I have boiled chicken and rice together for my sick doggies, and my vet has also had me boil hamburger and rice together for my ailing ones. My dogs have always liked it and got better.

Perfect food for them. Trust your vet - she didn't go through 8+ years of schooling to not know what she's talking about.

our vet says rice and boil a hamburger patty and mix together...also FYI if your dog gets kinda like hair ball coughing, you can give them a spoon full of butter, helps get it down.

Yes, it's a bulkifier... Many foods include it, not as a filler, but because it's good for them.
