like wat kind 2 push factors made them move here?

The land of opportunity.
The land of the free.
The land away from dictators.
The land that you can make a living by working.
There are more but there is not just one answer.

To sum it up in current English life just plain "sucked" in Europe, Italy. Spain, Ireland etc. My Great Grandmothers brother refused to go back to Norway to collect a rather sizable inheritance around 1920, 1930 because, according to the stories, Norway sucked. Not sure of the exact words used but I think you get the drift. VERY few came here because life was good where they were.

And that trend continues!

1900 europe was overpopulated, in america u killed the indians and got the land...plus the landwas productive

Mostly they wanted a free ride. Why else would 11 million Mexicans now reside here illegally?

Because it was virgin & not yet corupted by man, & it had the promise of new biginnings.
