I don't care what excuse you come up with to try to justify doing an end run around the legal process. You are breaking the law being here. I don't care if you can program computer games. Show some respect for this country, if you want to reap the rewards we have to offer. Just because you had a hard life doesn't mean your entitled to a fee ride or special treatment. What makes you any better than the immigrants that want to join our wonderful country the right way by following the rules of law?

your age is why you truly don't understand right now its not that people hate illegals but the word illegal means against the law. people here illegally are breaking the law and those who are already here aren't getting any breaks if there breaking the law so why should illegals get to come here break the law take jobs from people already here and crowd the school systems putting our kids on the waiting list for colleges and driving up the crime rate drugs and gangs in some areas loitering on our streets driving up inflation increasing the number of foreclosures, some even refuse to learn or speak English and the list goes on even though you are gifted it doesn't mean you should have a free ticket in this country to take some other child's spot and it certainly doesn't mean you are able to come to this country illegally without being punished it would be OK they had come here legally. Again the word illegal means breaking the law.

er.....you mean OTHER than the fact that they/you are illegal? erm i would have to say because they take privileges of health care and many other things without paying taxes
sure sure our govt sucks and the people of America are not all to bright on the majority but seriously, you are just speeding up the degradation of a country that has been in a fairly fast decline already, i suppose one could compare it to shoplifting in the sense that you take but give nothing back. You may be smart but this will benefit who? you of course scholarship another reason, those are usually for people who have lived in America and have become a citizen. I'm not sure if you are that smart because if you understand the fact that you are illegal and breaking the law, not so good. you also seem to be failing to comprehend the notion of taxes and paying them (or lack thereof in your case) so you are here, the proverbial leech and nothing goes back to the government. Kid, brush up on current news because America is over 7 trillion dollars in debt, and i can only assume you can appreciate the magnitude of that number.

I don't dislike "illegal aliens". I have nothing against them. The simple fact that you are in this country illegally makes you a criminal. Then again most american have commited crimes at one point or another, maybe not a "big crime" but a crime nevertheless. Keep getting good grades and maybe you will get that scholarship. Don't ever take for granted that you are in this country. Don't take advantage of it either, taking advantage in a "bad way." I know there are many overseas organizations that give scholarships to "illegal aliens," but you really have to hit the books. Good luck to you.

1) They broke the law to get here. That alone is reason enough to not appreciate their presence.
2) They drive down wages by taking work at much lower than what the market would bear if it were only Americans competing.
3) The nature of thier illegality brings with it a host of other crimes; like identity theft, trafficking, driving w/out licenses or insurance, etc
4) Many of them have exhibited a blatant disdain for our country, which gives the rest a bad rap.
5) Many show no intention of assimilation, which means the American culture in some areas is being displaced with a Mexican culture. If Americans wanted to live in Mexico, we'd move there.
6) Many utilize our social services systems, without contributing taxes. Our welfare roles, hospitals, and schools are swelling with illegals. Some hosptials have actually had to shut down over it.
7) As you yourself are illegal, you should be very appreciative that we Americans have provided you with an education that your parents have not paid for in any way. I don't hold it against you, as you are a child, but you need to be aware of the reality of the situation.

Hi sweety, dont listen to all these idiots , Most of these people are uneducated ignorant people , and I know that one day you are gonna become something of yourself. No matter if its here in U.S or elsewhere , in fact you could possibly even be a doctor one day saving lives of these hatefull people , then u wont see them complaining ..But dont stress so much on this issue , and focus on all those great things you are doing while you are here ...Hopefully the Dream Act can be introduced again and pass this time ....If not iam sure theirs is gonna be an amnesty for certein individuals like you ...Also for the person who said their is no Scholarship for illegals she is wrong , do some research and i know you can find lots of them mostly funded by latino communities...I was an illegal through college and and i paid for college through grants ! so go out there and find as much info as you can ...And i wish you the best in life !

I think many people feel cheated. I am third generation here in the US, and I know that my grandparents had to work hard and many families now have to wait a long time to become a legal citzen. I dont dislike immagrants, but I would hope they would come in to the country the legal way. it makes our law look like a joke. If you can become a citzen, purely by walking over the border, what other law can we minipulate. Law, i think should just stay consistent. No personal dislike. I am glad that there are people in our country taking their education seriously, it isn't common practice anymore.

What we dislike is the disrespect of our laws, we dislike having people in our country that we can't account for, we dislike being walked all over for our generosity and lax enforcement.
If someone came to us, and said please help, most of us would help. But when people come in and just demand and park themselves without permission, we get a little testy about it.
Good for you for working hard to learn - that is something everyone should do, and something that can never be taken away from you. But, if you are an illegal alien, unless your parents are using fraudulent information, they are not contributing to the tax base in the same way that citizens are, and that means that we are paying to educate you.
Maybe you should just say thank you, instead of complaining. If you are truly only 13, I can't hold it against you that you are illegal, it was obviously a decision that your parents made.

I hear how you are feeling. It's good that you are here and trying to take every advantage America has to offer, but there is a right and a wrong way to go about these things. It's as if your family stole the right to live in America instead of went through the proper procedures put in place for a reason. I do not want to sound uncaring of your situation. I have no idea what your family came from, but millions of illegal immigrants coming into our country annually puts a strain on our already overwhelmed systems.

I do not "hate" the person. i hate the fact that my mother who is a legal citizen, has to pay thousand's upon thousands of dollars in medical bills because she was misdiagnosed and yet a illegal can get good care and not pay a cent. I hate the fact that i got hit by a illegal who had no drivers license and insurance and I had to pay for the car to be fixed. Like most Legal citizens i work mt A*ss off and i do not think our taxes should go to support people who have no business being here. Do you really think illegals pay taxes? why should they come here and be allowed to not pay taxes? I am glad you are trying to better yourself, but i will be damned if legal children get the shaft.
