Eat high protein & high fiber meals, in smaller portions. The high Protein & fiber will make you feel fuller faster, and keep you from feeling hungry longer. Also, drink lots of water....sometimes we mistake hunger for thirst...weird but true. Dry drinking a big glass of water if your feeling kinda hungry, but don't know what you want.
You have to exercise. Moderate exercise 3-5 times a week for at least 20 min is recommended. Anything you can do to get your heart rate up and burn calories is good.
And remember, not everyone is meant to be a size three....you have to be HEALTHY. Starving yourself just makes your body go into starvation mode, and it will store every little thing you eat, for energy. It thinks its starving!
Avoid carbonated drinks, as they tend to make you full, and are loaded with empty calories. You'll end up drinking a whole soda, and then not eat anything because you feel full.
You have to balance your food intake and exercise. If you eat more than you burn off, you'll gain. If you eat the same amount as you burn, you'll stay the same. If you eat, but exercise more....the pounds will come off.
And don't get discouraged. If you are trying to loose a lot of weight, it takes time...just like it took time to put on. You have to keep up with your routine, in order to see healthy results.
Good luck.

Dont get so out of wack about it. You can pretty much eat what you want. But eating smaller meals 5 or 6 times a day along with a good daily exercise plan will work. A lot of women dont eat enough protein with there meals. I eat a variety of proteins... like 2 eggs and a slice of low fat ham. I will eat 2 strips of bacon sometimes but that does have more fat. Remember when eating breads try to eat whole grain it is high in fiber. A high fiber diet forces the body to go into the digestive system for nutrients. A diet with low fiber allows all the caloric foods to enter the blood stream and is quickly converted into fat which will be stored somewhere on you.
Other protein sources that I eat... lean beef, chiken, turkey, and tuna fish. I make a sandwich or a meal and eat like a half sandwich or half a meal then eat the rest about 3 hours later. I have found if you eat on a schedule at the same time every day it is more effective and you dont get so hungry you over eat. If you eat a small meal every 3 hours you will eat 6 to 7 times a day. My eating schedule is 6am 9am noon 3pm 6pm and a 15 gram snack at 7:30 and I dont eat anything past that til 6am the next day. I have a 20 minute work out 3 times a day. I have lost 55 pounds since I started this plan and I feel great. My excercise... I mix it up run, shoot basketball hoops non-stop for 20 minutes, plug in a aerobic video and do that. Some times rather than run I'll do the Olympic style speed walk.

Losing weight scientifically is pretty simple. All you do is burn more calories than you take in. Eat a diet that is well balanced (I believe in eating protien and carbs in moderation). Typically you should eat 4 - 6 small meals that consist of a portion of protien and a portion of carbs and some veggies. How much is a portion, well it's the size of your closed fist. Make sure the foods you do eat are healthy, try to stay away from the processed foods. If it doesn't come from the ground or an animal don't eat it. It is also very important to keep one day of the week as your "cheat" day, this day if you crave a candy bar then eat it. Do this only one day a week.
Once you are starting to eat better, the second part of losing weight is exercising. I think it's best to do both cardio (running, stairmaster) stuff like that. It's also very important to do some strength training. Yes lift some weights. For women do high reps low weight. This way you won't get big muscles like a man, but you will tone and that's always sexy. Plus the more muscle you have the more calories you will burn at rest and that means the more weight you will lose. Sounds easy huh. It is in theory. But... our minds have a way of tricking us and you must have the disipline to follow a routine like this. I hope this helps....

Honestly, that isn't the right weight. You are gonna need to diet, but NEVER starve. Try making healthy choices and eating all natural foods. No junk, no soda, and stay away from white things. Also exercise is going to be key. You can start out by just going for a couple mile walk and then move on to things like swimming, jogging, light weight lifting, etc. You should also tone up by doing core exercises such as planks. Good Luck!

There are more diets than ever and more people dieting than ever and yet we have the fattest society ever. So a lot of these ideas about losing weight, make you fatter. Cutting calories, carbs and fats can cause you to have a weight problem for life. It is better to eat differently. See site below and learn why lean meat, black coffee and non-fat yogurt are so fattening. The people counting calories are the fat people.
Also salt has no calories but makes you fat. This also has the quickest weight loss possible. Eat good carbs, not bad carbs. Nourish your body thin, instead of starving your body fat. Eat foods made by nature
and avoid foods made by man which are designed to make you fat and very addicted to food. 5th link on "LINKS" page is BMI calculator to see if you are overweight.

You say you feel fat - but are you? Probably not as fat as you think.
Please don't starve yourself - if you stop eating or eat very little your body then goes into a "self preservation" mode whereby it thinks it is being starved so any food/drink you have is converted to fat. So instead of losing weight - you actually gain weight ( to a certain point.) So eat lots of REAL food - i.e fruit, vegetables, meat, fish. If it comes in a wrapper, bag, can, packet don't eat it. If it grows, flies, swims or walks - eat it. (If you know what I mean.)
Check out the website below for some great food ideas. Good luck! :-)
