I'm 18 and have recently become really great friends with a guy from school. It's so easy to talk to him and we always get along. Recently I have developed deeper feelings for him but I am afraid he doesn't feel the same way. We have been flirting alot lately and he kisses me on the cheek but I feel like he only thinks of me as a friend. I'm a really shy person so what do I do? Do I tell him how I feel? Or do I wait and see where things go?

In my opinion, a guy wouldn't kiss any girl on the cheek unless he likes her. But than again there are guys that are more physical than others. What I would say is if you've seen him with other girls other than you. See how his actions differ from yours and if anything. Try hugging him and see how tight or how long he holds on to you. On another scenario, try kissing him back on the kiss or when he makes a move to kiss you on the cheek move your face and peck him on the cheek. There has to be some thing there, and if not. Ask him straight up, because he probably likes you just too shy. Most guys do want the girl to make the first move or at least give them a HUGE hint that they are interested. AKA tell him you like him and he'll have a huge smile on his face and for sure start flirting with you more openly and not as sly. Good luck with everything =) Oh, and also. Don't rush anything if you are unsure. There's loads of time to figure every thing out. He may like you, but also still trying to get to know you because he's had such a great time with you. He's probably really sincere and wants to get to know you better. He doesn't seem like a player time, sound like he genuinely likes you and trying to get to know you better. Don't get too excited, your excitment might scare him away and change how you guys currently interact with eachother. Just be yourself, and let the issue progress it self.

If I were you I would let the guy move first. Now days girls think that they should make the first move becuase the guy isn't a man enough to admit how he feels. Just wait for him. And you could consider asking him how he feels just dont push it. And if that doesn't work out I'm sure you'll find another guy to persue a relationship with. Your eighteen, your looking for someone. So keep looking!
I wish you the best of luck!

I think you should wait a little bit before telling him how you feel. It may be awkward for him and you both. You should kind of lead it on drop hints see what happens. If you feel like hes getting what you're saying then tell him. If you think that he is getting the message and isn't liking that then don't tell him how you feel, just remain friends, this is nothing to ruin a friendship over

Well answering this question is really biased of me. I have been off and on with the same girl all throughout highschool, we started out as best friends, than grew closer; went out for a while, broke up, went out again, broke up, went out again; etc. Eventually I got so fed up with it, because it like didn't seem to phase her, so I completely cut myself off from her.

Most boys wait for the girls to move (i'm a boy) so i think you should make the move first. Don't be shy love is always true!

Dear 18,
Being shy is okay. But if you jump out and tell him how you feel it will scare him.
Take it slowly.....be yourself.
Guys love mysterious women...thus not being outwardly friendly
and being shy may work in your advantage.
Time is on your side.
Just be yourself.
