IT only shows how BLINDED mainstream christianity is to what the Scriptures are actually teaching, WHEN A BIG MONKEY LIKE YOU HAS TO TEACH THEM!!
Amo 3:1 Hear this word that Yahweh hath spoken against you, O children of Israyl, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,

Amo 3:2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth: <<<<<
therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

I would call God racist except for the fact that God's chosen people are in fact Christians. It is not by a color of the skin or by your parents, but it is by what you believe. Check out 1 Peter 2:9 in talking about Christians. In light of this, we would not be able to call God a racist.

It is something to be considered the chosen people, however it is a very frightening thought as well because of the responsibility that follows see Hebrews 10:28-29. Note this also implies that we are not under the law of Moses.

If the God has truly chosen a select group of people then we are not in any position to question a god. However if it is a group of people claiming to be the only chosen ones then they are a bunch of bigots who are just trying to justify themselves.

God is not racist.

It is the people who became racists. Because God chose them to guide to become better people than the Pagans, they became proud and arrogant for being the God's chosen people. They chose not to preach others to enter in their religion. Instead they made religion exclusive for their people only - for the sons of Jacob only. They believe God will not punish them in hell because they are chosen people of God. So they became extremely cruel to other humans. Their history is full of killing and crimes against other humans.

My standard comments on being "chosen":

"We as Jews were 'chosen,' but only for a certain task,
which was to receive the Torah, and to set a
good example (hopefully) by following it. We're not
better that other groups; we simply have a job to do.

Our tradition says that Abram (who later became
Abraham) was not the first to be asked to accept this
responsibility. Tradition says that many other peoples
were asked to do this, and they all said no; Abram is
simply the one who said "yes," and agreed to the covenant
of laws.

Anyone who wants to can become a Jew. It's not easy,
and it's not for everyone, but it's most definitely do-able.
We do not SEEK converts, but we do accept them. We
believe that if someone is intended to be part of us, that
they will find their way to us.

As for those who are not Jews, we believe that anyone who
follows the basic laws inferred in the story of Noah is a
righteous person, and will have a part in the world to come.
These commandments, referred to as the Noahic or Noahide
commandments, are inferred from Genesis Ch. 9, and are as
follows: 1) to establish courts of justice; 2) not to commit
blasphemy; 3) not to commit idolatry; 4) not to commit incest
and adultery; 5) not to commit murder; 6) not to commit
robbery; and 7) not to eat flesh cut from a living animal.
These commandments are fairly simple and straightforward,
and most of them are recognized by most of the world as
sound moral principles."

There ya go; and I wrote it myself, so don't accuse me of any cut-and-paste crap.

That depends... Would you call a government racist who chose to free the only people who chose to follow its laws that were established before anyone was ever imprisoned for breaking them? Furthermore, would you call an artist racist because they chose to express only black culture in their art? If preference is racism then we all need to be locked up: heterosexuals, homosexuals, bisexuals, and even toaster lovers...

Well, just before we get started, "A god" is technically incorrect, theres ONLY ONE GOD, ALLAH, the exalted, the all-knowing, the all-wise. I really dont know whether its christianity or Judaism your talking about, but Allah Chooses PROPHETS AND MESSENGERS, NOT FOLLOWERS. If you believe in his existence and follow his commands, you shall be of the people of heaven, if you reject his existence completely and disobey his commands COMPLETELY, Hellfire is the price to pay for such unthinkable things

Not a bit. Because MY Gods have their chosen followers who can be of any race, color, nationality or gender.

Most Pagan pantheons are that way.

It is more racist to say that you CAN'T worship a God that is not yours by heredity....
